From October onwards the water level in the falls decreases.
In November and December there is hardly any water at the falls, so the flight experience may not meet your expectations.
Climate change is modifying the temperature and rainfall pattern, which may vary significantly. These changes also alter the level of the water

One of the optional activities that can be done in Livingstone – Victoria Falls and most reserved by travelers is the helicopter flight over the falls.
12-13 minutes flight:
The flight takes off from the helicopter base aerodrome. The flight heads towards the falls and makes a circular overflight over the falls that will allow you to obtain different images and perspectives.
25 minutes flight:
The flight takes off from the helicopter's base aerodrome. In addition to performing the circular flyover over the falls, the helicopter will descend into the Batoka Gorge to follow the course of the Zambezi River for a stretch. The Batoka Gorge flight can be done before or after the falls overflight.
Which flight is best?:
From our own experience and what many of our travelers have told us is that the combination of flying over the falls and flying inside the Batoka Gorge is a unique experience.
Very important:
The helicopters have capacity for 5 passengers.
The 2 passengers in front, next to the pilot, have a full view.
3 passengers in the back seats, only 2 have a window view. The third passenger will occupy a seat between the 2 passengers who will occupy the window. This is important to keep in mind to avoid any kind of frustration by not having the window position to take pictures with the proper position and view.
Seats in the helicopter cannot be reserved. The reason for this is because it might be necessary to carry out a weight distribution of the passengers in the helicopter for air safety measures.
Also due to security measures, the maximum weight of a passenger that is allowed to board the helicopter is 100 kg. With a weight greater than that mentioned, the flight will not be authorized, so if the reservation has been made with a higher weight, the passenger at destination will be rejected without any right to a refund.
