More information
The barge safaris (these can be 1 or 2 floors) that take place in the Murchison Falls National Park cross the Victoria Nile River. Navigating the river, the barge reaches the base of the famous falls that give the park its name and are also known as Kabalega Falls. These aquatic safaris have a duration of 2-3 hours of navigation. On the banks of the river you can see mammals such as elephants and buffaloes that come to the river to drink and even bathe, as well as hippos, crocodiles and a wide variety of bird species. Generally this navigation begins at 2:30 p.m. but on occasions, depending on demand, it could be the case that there are 2 extraordinary departures at 08:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Depending on availability, the reservation could be at any of the times when there is availability, although the priority is always 2:30 p.m. In any case, the departure time may vary without prior notice, so it will be reconfirmed on the spot by the local guide.
