In the South Luangwa National Park. Seasonally and/or depending on the water level. This activity generally take place in February and March, although depending on the length of the rainy season, they can run from January through to April. During raining season most camps are closed.
Duration and Minimum Stay
These water safaris last approximately 2-3 hours. The exact duration depends on the water levels. In case of insufficient water level, this activity cannot take place. The minimum recommended stay for boat safari is 3 nights in the same camp that includes this activity.
Boat Safari
This is a seasonal activity. This activity usually takes place in the afternoon. After lunch and some down time, you will meet your guide at the agreed time. At the jetty you will take the boat or the barge to cruise the river and observe the wildlife of Mana Pools from a different perspective. Each day's activities vary depending on the number of nights spent at each camp and the activities that can be carried out. The camp staff is in charge of scheduling the daily activities so this information should be considered as a guideline.
