a) Maun International Airport: The best option for safaris starting in Kalahari or Okavango Delta. b) Kasane International Airport: The best option for safaris starting in Linyanti, Chobe or Okavango Delta if you are flying from Livingstone or Victoria Falls. c) Gaborone International Airport.
VACCINATIONS
Vaccination against yellow fever is mandatory for citizens of countries where the disease is considered endemic or for travellers flying via one of these countries. Treatment for malaria is not mandatory. Consult a specialist in tropical medicine with the authority to advise, inform and recommend which vaccinations and medications should be taken.
PASSPORT AND VISA
Certain countries do not require a visa for a maximum stay of 90 days in Botswana. Check here whether you need a visa: https://evisa.gov.bw/#/needvisa Other requirements: passport valid for at least 6 months at the moment of entering the country, and at least 3 completely blank pages in the passport. Entry requirements for Botswana may change without prior notice so it is the responsibility of each traveller to stay informed. If you are travelling with minors, a child's birth certificate is required. If the original is not in English, it must be accompanied by an official translation. Moreover, if the child is travelling with only one parent, a letter of legal consent is also required. If the original is not in English, an official expert translation must be provided.

Best time to travel to Botswana

Climate change is modifying the temperature and rainfall pattern, which may vary significantly. These changes also alter the behavioural patterns of wildlife. For all of the above reasons, you should consider the information provided as a guideline.

APRIL TO MAY
• Transition season before wet and dry season. • The vegetation is green, and the landscape make for beautiful images. • Great light for photography. • In April there is the chance of some short showers in the evening. • High predators activity. • Average daytime temperatures are 30°C, going down to 10°C at night.
JUNE TO OCTOBER
• Dry season. • High game concentration and density in Okavango and Linyanti. • In June, average daytime temperatures are 25°C, going down to 7°C at night. • In September average daytime temperatures are 33°C and 13°C at night.
NOVEMBER
• Moderate climate with a mix of the green and dry seasons. • Game watching is very good. • Average daytime temperatures are 34°C, going down to 18°C at night.
DECEMBER TO MARCH
• Wet season. • Temperatures are highest during these months. • Birthing season for some animal species. • High predators activity. • Zebra migration season in Makgadikgadi. • Game concentration in Central Kalahari. • These are the best months for photography. Light is excellent. • Average daytime temperatures are 31°C and 19°C at night.
