THE MOST MAMMAL-DIVERSE NATIONAL PARK IN THE WORLD
Hwange is home to some 100 species of mammals, making it the most diverse national park in the world. In addition, up to 400 species of birds have also been recorded here.
FAMOUS FOR LARGE HERDS OF ELEPHANTS AND BUFFALOES
Hwange is famous for the large herds of elephant and buffalo that concentrate around waterholes during the dry season. In Hwange the elephant population has been estimated at about 25,000.
SPECTACULAR WILDLIFE
The diversity of the semi-arid and forested landscape means that we can find an impressive number of animals: impala, giraffe, wildebeest, kudu, sable antelope and roan, as well as lions and leopards.
