Visiting Sossusvlei
The visit usually takes place first thing in the morning when the sun is rising, and the temperature is cool. By midday, when the sun warms up the air, you will be back at your accommodation to freshen up, rest and have lunch. Depending on the activities offered by your accommodation, in the afternoon you will take part in another scheduled or optional activity.

The Sossusvlei Valley is the landmark of the Namibian desert. It is one of the most visited places by travelers arriving in Namibia. You get to Sossusvlei in a 4×4 vehicle and then ascend the dunes along their crests, enjoy the beauty of this sea of ​​dunes, observe the changes in color of the dunes and learn about the fauna and flora that inhabits such an extreme environment. The camps that include this visit go into the interior in 4×4 to visit the Dead Valley. The visit is usually done early in the morning, at dawn, when the temperatures are cooler. At noon we return to the camp to avoid the heat of the desert.
Dune 45:
Probably the most famous spot in Sossusvlei as it is in the area where non-4×4 vehicles can go. It is approximately 170 meters tall. Due to a 4x4 is not needed, this is the place where you will find most of the visitors.
Big Daddy dune:
Considered the highest dune in Sossusvlei at 325 meters. Climbing to its top requires good physical condition and it is located in an inland area where only 4×4 vehicles arrive.
Dead Valley or Deadvlei:
To visit the Dead Valley it is also required to arrive in a 4×4 vehicle.
