The approximate tour duration is between 2 hours and 2 hours 50 minutes.
What's Included

More information
At the confirmed time the previous evening (usually contact the reception of the accommodation where you are staying to give you confirmation of the time). This procedure is followed because the state of the sea and the weather conditions change, so it is preferable to wait to have the weather and maritime forecast for the next day and thus be able to establish the starting time of the tour. The meeting point is at the Great White House of Kelienbaai (Gansbaai) where a brief talk is offered about the route and the fauna that can be observed. The months of July and August are the strong season for observing southern right whales. Humpback whales can also be observed on their migratory route. With luck you can get to see the so-called big 5 of the sea: dolphin, sea lion, penguin, whale and white shark. Remember that July and August also coincide with the strongest season for shark watching. The ship will sail in the Dyer Island area, considered a special area for the conservation of birds, with the islet of Geyser Rock nearby, a point where a colony of approximately 60,000 Cape fur seals lives. The strait that forms between Dyer Island and Geyser Rock is known as "Shark Alley", a point where sea lions feed and where sharks also go. The area in which the navigation takes place is a magnificent place to have the opportunity to observe a great diversity of marine species. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours to 2 hours 50 minutes, although these are approximate times since the duration will depend both on the observations of the fauna and the state of the sea.
